Recent work

Installs you'd never know were there.

That's the point. Here are a few recent jobs from around the Charlotte region. Tap a photo to see it larger.

How it works

From site survey to “it just works.”

  1. Free site survey

We walk the property, test your Wi-Fi in every room, and check the attic and walls for cable routes.

  2. Design & written quote

You get a layout showing every camera view and access point, plus a fixed price in writing.

  3. Clean install

Cables go through attics and walls, not along baseboards. Most homes are done in a single day.

  4. Setup & training

We set up the app on every phone and show everyone how to find and share footage.

  5. Documented & supported

You get every password, port and camera mapped on paper. Questions later? Call Kevin.

Meet the owner

The installer who leaves you the passwords.

Kevin Tran spent six years as a network tech for hospitals and school districts around Charlotte, the kind of places where a dropped connection isn't an option. In 2018 he started Signalpath to bring that same standard into homes and small offices.

More than 1,200 systems later, Kevin still designs every layout himself. Every customer gets a printed map of their system, every password, and his direct number. No locked-down equipment, no contract you can't leave.

"Anyone can hang a camera. The job is making sure it's still recording two years from now, and that you know how to find the footage when you need it."

"Our Wi-Fi died in the back bedrooms for years. Kevin ran cable to two ceiling access points and now the whole house gets full speed, including the garage gym."

"Six cameras and not one visible wire. They fished everything through the attic, and the two spots they had to patch, you can't find."

"Someone tried our side gate at 2 AM. The alert hit my phone before he got to the yard, and the footage was sharp enough for the police report."

FAQ

Questions we get on every survey.

Still wondering about something? Text a photo of your setup and we'll tell you what we'd do.

Text (704) 555-0105
Do I have to pay a monthly fee for cameras?

No. We install systems that record to a recorder in your home, and the phone app is free. If you want professional monitoring or cloud backup we can set it up, but it's your choice and you can cancel any time.

Will you hide the wires?

Yes. We run cable through attics, crawl spaces and walls whenever the house allows it. If a run has to be exposed, we use paintable raceway and show you the route before we start.

Why wired access points instead of a mesh kit?

Mesh units pass your signal from unit to unit and lose speed at every hop. A cable to each access point gives every room full speed. If we can't get a cable somewhere, we'll tell you and use mesh just for that spot.

Can you work with equipment I already have?

Often, yes. We check what you have on the site survey and reuse anything that's still good. We'll also be honest when something isn't worth keeping.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Signalpath Systems holds North Carolina low voltage systems license #9104733 and carries full liability and workers' comp insurance.

How long does an install take?

Most home camera or Wi-Fi systems are done in one day. Offices and new-construction pre-wires are scheduled in phases around your other trades.
